Smoke Free Mecklenburg hired an independent research firm, Clark & Chase
Research to survey Mecklenburg County registered voters. The following questions were asked:

"Northern Towns" refers to the towns of Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson.

"Southern Towns" refers to the towns of Mint Hill, Matthews and Pineville.

"Mecklenburg County" encompasses all responses.
Question #1: Local Government, such as Mecklenburg
County, should have the ability to make its own laws regarding smoking in
enclosed public places.
